Rob was my cousin, my second cousin actually. He was my favorite person out of all my relatives. I remember when he'd drive all the way down from Ramona to play ball with me in the grass downstairs from my apartment. I remember the crazy things he would do, and how he told the whole family he blew up his toilet with a firecracker. He was always so crazy and fun, and I miss him dearly. My graduation's coming up soon, and I know he'll be walking me up there in spirit, laughing his head off because he's getting away with it. He was always so loveable, and the best person. Every year at christmas or thanksgiving, it was "Is rob coming?!". I was always so excited to see him. It's hard to believe it's almost been 4 years since he's passed. I still think about him everyday and I love him dearly.

I was very fortunate to meet Rob while working at the EMC San Diego office in 2007. Though I would have loved to have known him more, the time I was able to talk and interact with him, I was able to see and feel the warmth in his words and the way he spoke, like he always had everyones interest at heart. I could easily tell that Rob was unlike many people at EMC, Rob cared for his work, customers, to an individuals feelings. He was a man of substance, but overall a man with love, love for his daughter. One time, I remember him telling me about his daughter's birthday, they were to throw her a party. He showed me her picture. I was moved, she is so adorable. There was this look in him, like I know :), and how proud and happy he was to be the father of this beautiful child. From God we come from and to Him is our return. Rob may be gone, but a piece of him still lives in his daughter.

I did not know Rob very well but I was always struck by how many pictures Rob had of his daughter in his cubical. You could tell how proud of her he was.
